 As a young boy during the Depression, James and his siblings were forced into an orphanage while their ill mother was hospitalized. After many escape attempts, Jim finally succeeded and became one of the many homeless children in Utica, NY in those days. Jim started down that uncertain path at a very young age; stealing food to survive, and eventually robbery became a way of life. Having served many years in various Upstate New York prisons and institutions, James Furney has mesmerized many with the very humbling story of his life. MORE
